Meet our New Executive Director!

John E. Watts
Lancaster Mediation Center welcomes our new Executive Director, John E. Watts. John comes to the Center with a wealth of experience working with youth and adults. He was a team leader and supervisor of Summit Quest Academy, a placement center for a diverse group of teens; and he was a counselor and recreational coordinator for A.R.C. in Lancaster. In addition, John was a peer leader and facilitator for The YMCA Resource Center and also served as a disciplinarian for a regional high school.
John was recently trained to meet with victims and offenders through the Center for Community Peacemaking (CCP), which explains the restorative justice system. His volunteer work includes serving as a speaker for lectures, workshops and consulting to inspire children, teenagers and adults to be good individuals, to handle diversity and to make changes in their behavior before they spiral out of control. And he has been a coach of girls/boys and adult basketball, baseball, football, racquetball and golf.
John has his bachelor’s degree in sociology from Millersville University and his associate’s degree is in criminal justice from Delaware Technical & Community College.
The Lancaster Mediation Center is a resource for resolving many types of disputes using mediation. We offer members of the Lancaster community an alternative to emotionally and financially costly litigation processes.
